Charlie is a Level 4 Healing Touch for Animals® Practitioner in central Minnesota. He supports rescues and other animals through his practice Remus Road.
Q: How did you get involved with Healing Touch for Animals®?
A: My mother-in-law is a Healing Touch Program (HTP) Practitioner, and after talking with her, I found that the Healing Touch practice was available for animals as well. I’ve always had a love for animals and was drawn towards the classes that were offered immediately after.
Q: How are you using HTA in your personal or professional life?
A: Along with opening my own HTA practice, Remus Road, I also use HTA in my dog grooming profession to calm and ease anxious dogs. Even more than the techniques, my practice has helped me with understanding the importance of maintaining a calm and tranquil energy to get the best interactions out of the animals (and people) that I work with.
Q: How do you stay engaged with your HTA practice?
A: Through my business I have had the chance to work with a wide range of animals across central Minnesota. I also stay consistent by volunteering weekly at our local Humane Society to help the dogs show their true personalities, even through their current rough situation.
Q: What is your favorite HTA technique?
A: The Vertebral Release and Repair™ technique. I’ve had amazing results, especially working with horses and elderly dogs. This is a very powerful technique that usually pairs with strong visual responses as well. It’s always nice when the clients tell you that they can “see” the adjustments being made.
Q: What has been the most rewarding part of HTA for you?
A: The most rewarding part would be the improved quality of life for these animals; but I also enjoy watching the owner’s eyes light up when they view their animal’s reactions and feedback during and after their session. It feels amazing doing my part to help open up and spread this different perception of healing, one that most are not even aware of.
