Q: How did you get involved with Healing Touch for Animals?
A: My Paint horse, Silver, and my Shetland pony, Hercules, were being used in the large animal day portion of HTA classes in The Netherlands. HTA Founder Carol Komitor and HTA Coordinators Ria and Henriëtte Roosendaal asked me several times to come and join a class. It took me a while, but after Silver suffered a ligament injury, I dived in and started my first class with the idea that I would simply see where it took me. Within just over a year, I had completed the Advanced Proficiency course.
Q: What is your favorite HTA technique?
A: I am still learning the newest AP3 techniques after taking the course in September, but the technique I use the most is probably Etheric Heartbeat™. It elicits emotion with most owners. I often use an oil with that technique. Sometimes I use an elestial crystal — I find rose quartz to be a very good one.
Q: What have you done to grow your HTA practice?
A: I talk about the work with people and, if they are skeptical, I try to explain it to them in ways they can relate to. I tell them that this is no different than helping a child that’s been injured, for example. The help you offer comes from a place of love. I started my HTA journey in 2015 and in September 2025 I participated in the first AP3 class ever. You can do it also.
Q: How do you stay engaged with your HTA practice?
A: I help several times a year at the facility where the horses are. That’s at our own stable, where my horse Sjors lives. Ria and Henriëtte’s horses are there too. I also try to join the Monthly Mentorship calls as often as I can.
