Q: How did you get involved with Healing Touch for Animals?
A: My husband and I wanted to go on vacation and needed a dog sitter. When my friend Lydia came to take care of our dogs, she told me about HTA, and I became so curious that I signed up for Level 1 with Henriëtte and Ria Roosendaal. These ladies made me even more enthusiastic. The many possibilities and changes I saw through HTA also convinced me to continue my education through Advanced Proficiency 2.
Q: How are you using HTA in your personal or professional life?
A: I’ve been a breeder since 1986, and own a dog boarding kennel. I also used to run a grooming salon and a dog training school. I regularly use HTA in the boarding kennel. Most of the animals I treat have problems with insecurity — sometimes inherited from their owner, sometimes because something serious has happened in their past. When I treat dogs at the boarding kennel, it’s usually for separation anxiety, which makes them tense and reluctant to eat. I usually see improvement within 12 hours after an HTA session, and they start eating.
Q: What is your favorite HTA technique?
A: I don’t have just one favorite, but I do regularly use Bridging™ and the Hara Repair and Balance™ techniques.
Q: What have you done to grow your HTA practice?
A: My HTA practice, called One Touch Balance, is still in its infancy. Because of my other work, I am only able to see a limited number of clients per week. I get new clients through word of mouth, social media, flyers, and simply telling people about it.
Q: What has been the most rewarding part of HTA for you?
A: My intuitive development has grown enormously through HTA and I’ve further developed my skills. I find working with healing, universal energy, and helping others incredibly rewarding. My interest in natural healing has also rekindled and I regularly work with essential oils and gemstones, as well as Bach flower remedies and herbs.
