Tina Batty is a Level 4 Healing Touch for Animals® Practitioner in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She shares HTA in her personal life and through her private practice, Dog Day LLC.
Q: How did you get involved with Healing Touch for Animals?
A: My journey with HTA actually began as my sister was undergoing chemotherapy. Her physician recommended the Healing Touch Program (HTP) to help manager her symptoms. (She is seven years cancer free now!) When my own dog was diagnosed with cancer, I did a random google search for “Healing Touch for Animals” thinking there must be something that I could do. Lo and behold, I found Carol and the HTA program.
Q: What is your favorite HTA technique?
A: My favorite technique is Energy Frequency Balance™. I love the flexibility of this technique. It can be used for so many different situations, used at any time during a session, and it easily applicable to humans.
Q: How do you stay engaged with your HTA practice?
A: I stay engaged with HTA in my personal, professional, and business worlds by attending the virtual Monthly Mentorship Meeting and submitting questions to Carol when something has me stumped. I also frequently check in on the HTA Student Group on Facebook. I use the techniques and essential oils at home with my live-in animals and humans. In addition to the clients I see in my business, Dog Day LLC, I volunteer at the Chesapeake (Virginia) Humane Society.
Q: What is unique about your HTA practice?
A: My HTA experience has been a blessing and is somewhat unique. I have had the opportunity to be in the energetic presence of many species locally and abroad. I have learned to “read” energy much better just by being in the animals’ energetic fields. I am always amazed how great I feel after each session or encounter as the animals and I share our energy.
Q: What has been the most rewarding part of HTA for you?
A: My most rewarding HTA experience to date was being part of a Belizean multidisciplinary team (veterinarians, wildlife managers, and zoo directors) that were evaluating a baby Ocelot that had been confiscated from a poacher to see if she could be returned to the jungles of Belize. My part was to use the tuning forks to see how she responded to the frequencies presented. It was fascinating!
